| Anna & Charlie's grand-daughter Jaelyn saying goodbye to the only home she has ever known. |
Today, November 13th, was the family's last visit to the area where 708 once stood. An emotional day, I'm sure. On this cold rainy morning, the family took one last look through the rubble in hopes of finding any other memento's from their home.
Their 7 year old grand-daughter Jaelyn visited with them & said her goodbye's too. 708 has been her home since day one of her little 7 year old life. The storm took away all of her favorite toys & clothes; & for a 7 year old, that is earth shattering. Next week, Jaelyn, along with the other children in town, will re-start school for the 1st time in 3 weeks. They will be going to school in a different town since the Union Beach school was also ruined in the storm.
It will be another big adjustment for her, but at least she can get back to her teacher & friends to experience some kind of 'normal!'

| Jaelyn also said her last goodbye to the family's pet Macaw 'Diego', who was found on the other side of town & then buried by the family in what was once their garden. |
On a 'bright side,' the family did find a rental home that they will be moving into on December 1st. I know they are looking forward to settling into their own space & attempting to make it feel like home. They will be moving in with nothing but the clothes on their backs & a few other miscellaneous items. They will need everything from beds & couches to plates & utensils. The family is extremely grateful for all the emotional & financial support they have received thus far, but it's a mere fraction of what they will need to continue down the path of a 'new beginning.' Your donation's will help them fill the house with the things they need & most importantly a little 'peace of mind' as their financial burden continues to get heavier by the day.
Please continue to share this page with your friends & let's keep this momentum going!
